PERFECT FOR OUR SPECIAL LUNCH

Somewhere special, different, inspiring for a 50th Lunch was what we were looking for and Bluebird escape was perfect. Locals, Two Country Cooks came in and took over the amazing kitchen, using all local products it was delicious. There was plenty of space for the lunch even when the weather decided to cool down, and how often do you get to sit around an open fire place, which was all ready to go when we arrived. The floor to ceiling windows gave us the perfect backdrop for our lunch and all the rooms were so spacious. We did our bit for the local economy with a shopping trip into Mossvale, its a great base for exploring the area. We are already working on an excuse to come back!!

I would highly recommend Bluebird Escape to anyone, our trip was wonderful. From the amazing fireplace and ceiling to floor glass windows, to the little touches such as an ipod already filled with hundreds of songs and beautiful linens in each bedroom. One of the highlights would definitely be waking up to a wombat outside the bedroom window and kangaroos jumping around the backyard! From start to finish our stay was fantastic, and we will definitely be back in the future!

A great getaway, secluded, relaxing and beautiful surrounds, a modern design building and atmosphere opening onto bush and rambling hills, just the holiday we wanted, spent time cooking in a fantastic equipped kitchen, walking around the property with our two dogs and also close enough to drive to the tourist destinations in southern highlands..will go back for sure

Wow what an amazing and wonderful place to stay for a weekend getaway! The attention to detail at Bluebird Escape made this one of our favourite recent getaways. From the amazingly well stocked kitchen with every gadget you could need, to thoughtful iPods with thousands of tracks in the bathroom and lounge room to the most amazing fireplace we’ve ever seen, this is a great place to stay and relax. Often when we stay in holiday homes, it feels like they are stocked with cast-off's from other homes, but everything in Bluebird felt hand picked especially for the home. I loved the mix of old and new furniture and the lovely art work scattered throughout. Plush towels, lovely linen, abundant condiments this place had it all. The surprise hit for the 2 pregnant women, would have to be the massive supply of herbal teas. We tried delicious teas we had never heard of and it made up for our lack of alcohol! There are awesome mountain bike tracks nearby and the guys had a great time exploring them, while we stayed at home relaxing and chilling out with a toddler and dog who both had plenty of room to run around in. Stephen really made us feel welcome and is the perfect host. I could not recommend this place highly enough and hope to go back there again next winter!

This is the second time we've stayed at Bluebird with a group of friends and each time we've had a fabulous weekend. Everyone is completely taken by the beautifully kept property not to mention the glorious outlook. Without hesitation we'd recommend Bluebird (and have done) to friends and the like.

Great cool weather get-away : log fire, seclusion. Total relaxation. Lovely bush and distant views. Our kids (10 & 12 years) enjoyed the views from the cliff - we all played hide n seek, chasings and rumbling on the grass together too. No electronics needed!!! :) Dog loved the place too - no lead, lots of space to run fast!

DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS FOR RURAL RELAXATION

We booked to stay 26/27 December and what a wonderful way to wind down after a busy Christmas. In terms of equipment this is one of the best kitchens we have ever had. There were also a multitude of plates, cutlery etc. My son is a part time barista so we made good use of the coffee machine and the coffee beans (supplied) were cafe standard. The open fire was so great for the atmosphere even though we didn't really need it. The sun lounges offered a wonderful way to relax outdoors and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the views. There were some nice short walks (45mins) along to the end of the road at the bottom of the hill or up the hill and along the fire trail. A lot of thought and effort went into making us feel welcome - milk and butter provided, all condiments, selection of teas and a complimentary bottle of wine. The beds were very comfortable and the view from the bathroom and main bed were lovely. There was no window covering (that we could find) on the front window of the master bedroom so if you don't want to wake up with the birds take your eye mask with you and you will be fine. My husband likes to be up with the birds so he loved it! It is a fair way from the nearest shop (which is part it's charm) but if you don't want to spend a lot of time in the car and ruin the relaxation then bring all the provisions you need for the weekend. We did and it was wonderful to just stay put.

GREAT TIMES!

We stayed at this property with 4 adults and 3 kids and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is extremely well equipped and beautifully designed and we especially enjoyed the gourmet kitchen. The huge open fire was lovely and the views from the large ceiling to floor windows were fab! Great place to get away from it all and enjoy the Aussie bush while still being reasonably close to the more touristy areas of the Southern Highlands. Would go back in a heartbeat

FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLE, MODERN BUT WARM - AMAZING!!

What an incredible property - set in the beautiful bush with no neighbours in site. Incredible living area with huge windows taking full advantage of the scenery, gorgeous large fireplace which was all set up ready to be lit. Fantastic comfy furniture and an ipod for use. The kitchen was an absolute pleasure to use - we felt like masterchefs, everything you could ever want there - amazing selection of teas! The bedrooms were so comfy and large beds :) The beautiful decor throughout really brings the personal touch to the property - the host has impecable taste! A pleasure to deal with throughout- extremely helpful and hassle free. Will be back when we can and hope everyone gets the opportunity to stay here! What a fantastic retreat :)

Bluebird Escape is an amazing property. We had a wonderful weekend with 2 couples and 2 dogs. There is definitely room for another couple or some children, as well, and it is very private. The property is great for seeing wildlife (birds, roos, wombats). One morning we woke up to 3 kangaroos outside our bedroom window! The owners have thought of everything to make you as comfortable as a 5 star hotel. You could have a beautiful weekend simply staying on property. I can say we definitely will come back and I would recommend this property to anyone. It is absolutely perfect. Thank you to Julie and Stephen for your excellent service and accomodation.

Highly recommend this stunning property, humans and dogs had a wonderful weekend at Bluebird Escape. The location is very peaceful and the house is beautiful but comfortable (definitely no twee antiques or floral curtains here). The owner was very accomodating allowing our (well behaved) dogs indoors and providing a very well stocked kitchen. A 5 star weekend!

OMG what a spectacular place! The house is stunning and all the little touches make it feel like a 5 star hotel. Beautiful big room with an amazing open fire and scenery, lovely bedrooms with fantastic morning views. And it was suitable for our 2 young children too. We will definitely come back and recommend.
